SmallWerks Inc. is emancipating Taylor and is ready for a new intern! The internship offers the great opportunity to develop your marketing skills through learning and serving others in small business marketing. Here is a breakdown of what the internship is all about and what you can do to apply!

ABOUT THE INTERNSHIP
Working with Small Businesses
SmallWerks is a full-service marketing agency that works with small businesses to increase the effectiveness of their marketing efforts. The intern will work alongside Courtney with outsourced marketing support, new marketing plans, launching businesses, and working with clients to create stable marketing teams. Tasks will include creating social media content plans, writing blogs, developing ideas for new marketing campaigns, and attending strategy based meetings with clients.

Brand Marketing and Events
SmallWerks is always working on new events for brand marketing, nonprofit development, and customer appreciation. The intern will generate campaigns to promote the event through online efforts and integrated print campaigns. There is also opportunity to learn about website design and growing a brand.

Strategic Marketing
Strategic marketing is one of the most beneficial learning experiences in the internship. SmallWerks works on generating original content, appreciation marketing, and social media marketing. These marketing solutions are a key aspect to enhancing customer relationships, connecting to your target market, and representing your business online. The intern will attain a strong and valuable understanding of these strategic marketing tools.

HOW TO APPLY
The internship position will be available the beginning of December, and there are a lot of exciting things happening at SmallWerks before the end of the holiday season. This is an unpaid internship that would need to be submitted for course credit. “As the current intern at SmallWerks, I cannot begin to describe the valuable knowledge I have gained from this internship. As a marketing student about to graduate in December, I feel fully prepared to enter the world of marketing with full force and succeed in my efforts. Over the six months I worked with Courtney, I developed skills in writing original marketing content, designing campaigns, conducting meetings, establishing goals, and working on sales. I am grateful for the opportunity to work with Courtney at SmallWerks and would highly recommend the chance to work side by side with her for this internship.” – Taylor Gunnin, Business Marketing graduate from Chapman University in December 2011 and VIP Event Planner for Pure Evolution Productions.
